The Center was established in 2020 with the aim of collecting all useful information on one website, with references to any activities or legal measures that involve people who have or have had cancer. KAPA3’s priority is the accessibility of citizens to beneficial legal provisions, as well as the utilization of existing structures and services throughout Greece. KAPA3 also provides legal advisory and assistance to cancer patients and raises awareness on the issue of cancer.
Program for Improving Cancer Patients’ Access to Services
The grant, implemented in collaboration with KEFI, regards a multi-faceted 12-month program designed to improve the quality of life of cancer patients, by supporting accessibility to the health and social services they are entitled to and their equal integration into society. This will be achieved by the creation of targeted interventions in order to raise their awareness regarding their rights as well as advisory and support on legal matters. An electronic platform will be created that will serve 100 cancer patients; this personal health “assistant” will attempt to offer individualized information and support to the users. The ultimate goal of the program is the equal integration of cancer patients in society, removing the barriers to social exclusion for both the target group and the wider family environment.
