  • Cover their needs for medicines and health products;
  • Donate their surplus of medicine and health products;
  • Manage their stock of medicines and health products online.

In addition to non-profit organizations, individuals and pharmaceutical companies also use the platform to donate pharmaceuticals. Since 2016, GivMed has provided over 435,000 boxes of medicine and 298,122 hygiene products, valued at €6,473,122, through a network of 187 organizations.

The grant regards a program for medicine and hygiene product donation to vulnerable individuals affected by the 2023 Thessaly floods and the 2025 fires in Greece.  Since the floods of 2023, a large proportion of vulnerable seniors in Thessaly are still affected.

The first axis of the program will cover the pharmaceutical needs of vulnerable persons residing in Thessaly, with emphasis on the elderly. To reach these elderly, GIVMED will coordinate with the Open Protection Centers for the Elderly (OPCEs) in several Thessaly towns.

The second axis of the program is for the development of emergency packages of medicines and hygiene products for areas at high risk of fires for 2025. GIVMED will create these emergency packages containing the combination of products that are critical when fires strike. GIVMED will ensure that the packages are distributed immediately wherever the need is, in cooperation with local organizations.

The estimated beneficiaries are at least 3,000 individuals, with a high proportion of elderly beneficiaries.
