It also coordinates the collection and distribution of these goods to accredited destinations. Some of the product categories that meet the needs of groups and individuals are: packaged food products, clothes, electrical appliances, furniture and school supplies. Desmos also raises social awareness on the importance of giving and reducing waste. In the fall of 2013, Desmos commenced the “Desmos Gives Warmth” program aimed at the supply of heating fuel to organizations throughout Greece. Through its three years of operation, the program has offered 171,566 tons of heating fuel to 123 organizations, providing heating to 7,174 beneficiaries.
