The Care Home is the only nonprofit care home in the prefecture of Ioannina and its residents come from the vast Epirus region, which has a high concentration of elderly residents. The demographics of the region as well as the quality of services offered by the Care Home have resulted in a waiting list for admission to the Care Home. The facility is divided in two sections: one section accommodates over 100 autonomous elders while the other section operates as a Chronic Illness Therapy Clinic housing approximately 50 patients, the vast majority of which is over the age of 65.

Medical Supplies and Consumables

The grant regards the continuation of the provision of medical supplies and daily consumables for the elders residing at the Care Home. The need for medical supplies includes medication as well as consumables that the elders’ public insurance plans do not cover.
