Women on Top was established as a nonprofit organization in 2018 but has been active since 2012. It focusses on supporting employment and equality for women in the Greek labor market. Since 2012, more than 250 mentoring collaborations for women have been developed, including collaborations directed at unemployed women, those wishing to change careers, and to those wishing to flourish in male-dominated occupations. The organization has also trained more than 500 unemployed and employed women via professional development seminars.
The grant regards a Mentoring program by retired women for young women who are at the onset of their professional careers. The mentors are women who have followed a professional career throughout their lives. The goal of the program is to empower younger women regarding their professional skills and challenges while at the same time empowering older women by reinforcing their sense of self-sufficiency and usefulness towards society.
This grant is implemented through the Points of Support program III.
