More specifically, the requested equipment will be used to correct heart rhythm problems through a treatment called cardiac ablation. Cardiac ablation can sometimes be performed through open-heart surgery, but when equipment is used instead, the procedure is less invasive and with shorter recovery times. The direct beneficiaries are 200 patients from the Thessaloniki region who will be treated for arrhythmia through cardiac ablation per year.
