Act for Karditsa has been active since 2020 as a self-organized volunteer network in response to the catastrophic damage caused by Storm “Ianos”. Its core mission is the collection, management, and equitable distribution of essential goods to vulnerable families in need. The organization steadily supports over 200 households monthly, operating a door-to-door model that ensures aid is targeted, dignified, and waste-free.

Vehicle & Capacity-Building

The grant regards the provision of an electric van that is essential for all aspects of Act for Karditsa’s operations. The van will allow for the systematic collection of in-kind donations, the optimized distribution of goods to hundreds of beneficiaries, and the rapid emergency deployment during natural disasters. Most of these beneficiaries depend on door-to-door delivery of food and other basic needs. To help support Act for Karditsa’s growth, the grant will also provide the organization a capacity-building consultancy.
