Program Support

The “Minas Tsitsakos” Solidarity Program was created in February 2014 as a result of the rising numbers of Constantinopolitans in need due to the Greek crisis. During the past 8 years the Federation offered, through its Solidarity Program, various goods and services to a total of 400 beneficiaries in Athens and Thessaloniki; 85% of the beneficiary families had an elderly family member living under the same roof. The Federation offers shelter to 75 homeless persons in cooperation with the Kosmeteio Philanthropic Foundation-Constantinopolitans Home, and covers their medical and pharmaceutical needs. In addition, volunteers of the Federation support persons in need who require accompaniment to hospitals and assistance with public and social services.

Program Support

The grant regards the support of 80 families taking part in the Solidarity Program with an elderly relative living under the same roof. This support will entail food supplies and hygiene products, pharmaceuticals to those without insurance, and health-related equipment.
