The Association’s main goals are: the provision of assistance to patients with dementia using non-pharmaceutical interventions, counseling for caregivers of individuals with dementia, awareness-raising of the general population reducing social stigma surrounding the disease, participation in research programs, training of health professionals and the publication of relevant articles in various journals. Additionally, the Association regularly conducts memory testing for seniors and provides cognitive training to seniors in the KAPI of Larisa Prefecture as well as to elderly residents living in care homes in Larisa, Trikala, and Karditsa.

The grant regards the provision of food and household materials to seniors that have been stricken by the September 2023 floods in Larisa and Karditsa Prefectures. The items will be donated to: a) The Municipal Care Home of Larisa and the Ecclesiastical Care Home of Karditsa and b) seniors in villages in Larisa Prefecture whose homes have been damaged by the floods. Professionals from the organization will deliver the items to displaced seniors and their families. The estimated beneficiaries are about 200 persons, mostly elderly, that include seniors living at the care homes due to the damages their homes incurred from the floods as well as others living in villages in the Prefectures of Larisa and Karditsa who have been affected by the floods.
