The Federation’s main purpose is to coordinate its members in regards to awareness-raising, the needs and social contributions of, dementia patients and their caregivers. The goals of the Federation include the creation of services that improve the quality of life of dementia patients and their caregivers, support for dementia research, and continuous awareness raising of the public. For the attainment of the above objectives, the Panhellenic Federation of Alzheimer’s Disease and Relative Disorders cooperates with organizations throughout the world and participates in relevant international conferences.
The grant regards the provision of fundraising support, with the goal of seeking funding opportunities and preparing proposals for submission to European and national programs. The proposals will be drafted both on behalf of the Federation, as well as for members of the Federation that meet the funding criteria. The various organizational members of the Federation, as well as the Federation itself, will benefit from participation in European and national programs, and of course, in the funding received that will allow them to expand their activities. Unemployment will also be tackled through the plethora of new employment positions created for health professionals who will be integrated in the associated personnel of the approved projects.
