The Greek Patients Association began its activities with a yearly conference on behalf of chronically ill patients and has since developed to provide a unified voice supporting chronic disease patients across the board. The Association has a committee made up of a variety of scientific experts representing many health sectors, thus providing sound scientific support for decision-making.

The grant regards the co-funding of a national call center for people with chronic health issues. The call center will enable chronically ill patients and/or their carers to access information or be directed to local associations, NGO’s or state infrastructures, that can assist them. The Association’s statistics show that 57% of callers are above the age of 55, with 35% of callers 65+ years old.
