Physical Exercise for the Prevention of Dementia

 

The grant regards the design of scientific protocols in regards to physical exercise for the prevention of dementia. It is a collaborative program with the Panhellenic Institute of Neurodegenerative Diseases. Research will be conducted on organizations that implement physical exercise programs for individuals with dementia and workshops will be organized where the knowledge and practical experience of health professionals will be gathered. An electronic manual of best practices will be created and given its benefits, will help to underline the need for the integration of physical activity for the elderly as part of their daily lives.

This grant is implemented through the Points of Support program III.
