The Association’s “The Daily Treatment Program” offers occupational therapy for the support, education, and entertainment of the mentally disabled. In addition, the Association provides services to caregivers and organizes awareness raising events around the issue of mental health. For the period December 2012 – November 2014, the Association ran a social solidarity umbrella Program called “Social Structures against Poverty in the Municipality of Serres”. Through this umbrella Program, the Association offered 2 main services. Namely the Social Store, providing 150 families with monthly food and household supplies. Second, it offered a Hot Meal Program, serving daily lunch to 100 people in need.
The grant regards the provision of food supplies for 70 monthly food packages offered by the Social Store. Out of the 70 recipient families, 25 have an elderly family member living under the same roof.
