Desmos communicates with organizations throughout Greece and records their immediate and long-term needs. At the same time, it tries to meet these needs by reaching out to potential donors. Desmos also raises social awareness on the importance of giving and reducing waste. Its ultimate goal is to create networks of solidarity and cultivate social and humanitarian responsibility.
Feed for Bees in Chios
The grant regards the emergency provision of bee feed to support the survival of remaining bee colonies on the island of Chios following the Summer wildfires of 2025. The program will provide 2 kg of fermented feed per hive per month for a minimum of 3 months. This will support 75 Beekeepers whose hives have been damaged or lost. It will also target 3,500 of their salvaged hives. The distribution will be coordinated through the Agricultural Beekeepers’ Cooperative of Chios.
