Agia Skepi Care Home was founded in 2008 and received an operating license in 2011. Its aim is to offer care to elderly, primarily to those who have worked or in any way contributed to missionary and community service projects. The care home offers accommodation adapted to the needs of each beneficiary, as well as safe and comfortable living. It prides itself on the care and cleanliness of the nursing home, the regular medical monitoring of the residents, as well as timely and appropriate medical assistance when needed. The home offers recreational activities and when and if needed, psychological assistance to its residents. It also offers opportunities for the residents to take part in spiritual, cultural, and artistic events.

Equipment

The grant regards the installation of rooftop water boilers with solar panels in order to make the care home more sustainable. As well as lowering the home’s carbon footprint, it will reduce the majority of Agia Skepi’s gas consumption and therefore lower its overall operational costs.
