Co-Solidarity Platform

The aim of the organization is to contribute to the formulation of social policies, as well as to undertake health and social cohesion initiatives and activities at the local level. Its programs mainly take place in the Prefecture of Western Greece, which is ranked one of the poorest prefectures in Greece and include care at home programs and other community interventions.

Co-Solidarity Platform

The grant regards the continuation of the Co-Solidarity Platform project that began in 2022. In 2022, with a TIMA Points of Support Program grant, Co2Gether created the first electronic platform in Greece that matches donations of new and lightly used medical and health-related equipment with those that need them. The organization received the equipment through its cooperation with the French organizations SECOL, Enfants Solidaire and Association Paradisanté, and repaired it where necessary.

The goal is to meet the needs of more elderly persons in Western Greece in terms of health-related equipment and materials, while also providing training to the elderly and their caregivers as to the proper use of such equipment. The beneficiaries of the program will be a minimum of 150 people mainly from remote areas of the Region of Western Greece. Αdditionally, Co2Gether will try to meet the equipment needs of care homes and other social welfare organizations that provide care services to older people, mainly in remote and inaccessible areas of the province. At least 20 social welfare organizations will receive equipment. Co2Gether will receive and store the equipment, through transfers from France, over a period of 12 months.
