The organization implements educational programs with a social impact component that are under the auspices of and supported by the Ministries of Education and Culture. The organization’s vision is to have its programs reach areas throughout Greece, especially isolated ones that do not have access to similar programs. Cinemathesis aims at making its programs accessible to vulnerable groups. Even though the organization is based in Athens, it has organized activities and programs in more than 22 Greek islands and 33 other destinations in Greece.

“Across Generations: Elderly & Youth” Program 

 

The grant regards the creation and implementation of an intergenerational program that will promote the interaction of seniors with youth. The program will entail the use of audiovisual means such as photography and videos, among others, in order to have seniors from Open Protection Centers for the Elderly (OPCEs) meet with youth in interactive workshops. The program’s goal is to bring the two generations closer, while producing works of visual documentation.

This grant is implemented through the Points of Support V
