This seminar, titled “Efficient Management and Sustainability Tools for Care Homes”, covers both matters of day-to-day operation and issues relating to gerontology. It will be implemented in Athens and is addressed to the staff of care homes throughout Greece.
The capacity building seminar was created as a response to the rising complexity of issues that care homes are faced with since the beginning of the crisis. In addition to the nature of providing nursing and care to elders on a 24-hour basis, care homes are faced with decreased earnings, increased expenses, constantly changing legal and fiscal frameworks as well as new advances in gerontology and geriatrics. The educational seminar provides tools for the increase of effectiveness, the achievement of sustainability and the deepening of social impact.
