In 2015, it offered daily hot meals to approximately 450 people, monthly food packages to 32 families and shelter to 23 homeless persons. Furthermore, 23 indigent individuals who have lost their homes, including elders, single mothers and children, live in rooms with 2 to 3 beds in 3 houses owned by the Friends of the Poor Fund.
Equipment & food supplies
The grant regards equipment and food supplies for the Hot Meal Program. More specifically, regarding the equipment, a new professional kitchen will be procured. This will significantly improve the quality of the meal preparation. The food supplies are particularly important as the number of daily meal recipients has doubled since 2012, with a large percentage of elderly beneficiaries.
