Frodizo’s main goal is to offer services that prolong the presence of seniors and people with dementia in their home. The main activities of the organization are:

a) Care at home programs for people with dementia and their families and training of caregivers of people with dementia;

b) Day Center for persons with dementia residing in Patra. Its goal is to provide individuals with mild dementia with a variety of non-pharmaceutical interventions that include mental strengthening, occupational therapy, physical therapy, etc. The Day Center also includes the Memory Support Clinic where memory & psychoneurological evaluation is conducted for persons over 55 years of age;

c) Awareness-raising for the public on matters pertaining to dementia and healthy and active ageing.

The grant regards the continuation of a care at home program for persons with dementia. The program will last 12 months and will serve 40 families of dementia patients with home visits. The intervention for each family will last 6 months, with 20 families being served during each cycle.  The program includes a psychologist, a nurse, a social worker, and a physical therapist-physical exercise scientist. The services performed include mental and physical strengthening, psychological support, the provision of nursing, and counseling regarding welfare/insurance matters, among others. The 40 caregivers of each dementia patient will also be trained during the program.
