“Breath” Psychological Support Program

Fairlife is a Greek NGO that was founded in memory of Simon Bell, who lost his battle with lung cancer in 2020.

The organization was established in 2020 and its mission is to support lung cancer patients from diagnosis to treatment. Fairlife also raises public awareness regarding lung cancer prevention and early diagnosis. In the one and a half years that the NGO has been operating, it has already carried out a series of awareness-raising activities, actions to support patients, including the set-up of an information telephone line (11157), the production of audiovisual educational material, the organization of workshops, participation in conferences and initiatives to promote healthy living and prevention of lung cancer.

The grant regards the implementation of the Breath program for psychological support for lung cancer patients and their caregivers. Experienced psychologists will carry out both group and individual sessions, and support will also be provided to children of lung patients.  Over 700 free individual sessions and 72 group sessions will be provided in 12 months, in this way reaching a total of approximately 1,150 patients and caregivers.
