The City of Athens' 25 Friendship Clubs are spaces created with the aim to offer senior Athenians human warmth and social support. They are spaces where elders come into contact with individuals of a similar age, obtain information and enjoy recreational activities. The services provided include psychological support, creative activities, occupational therapy and physiotherapy. Each Friendship Club has approximately 400 active members and 70 daily visits. The time spent per member is on average 3 hours.
The grant regards the provision of furniture that allowed for the opening of the Pagrati Friendship Club.
