Friends’ Society of the Greek Association of Alzheimer’s Disease
The Friends’ Society of the Greek Association of Alzheimer’s Disease was founded in 2013. Its mission is to support the work and activities of the Greek Association of Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders.
The grant regards the design of scientific protocols of physical exercise for the prevention of dementia, in collaboration with the Panhellenic Institute of Neurodegenerative Diseases. Research will be conducted on organizations that implement physical exercise programs for persons with dementia and workshops will be organized where the knowledge and practical experience of health professionals will be gathered. An electronic manual of best practices will be created and will help to underline the need for the integration of physical activity for the elderly as part of their daily lives given its benefits.
