The organization has supported thousands of women in breaking the cycle of violence and regaining their dignity and autonomy. In 2024 alone, over 850 women received legal and psychosocial support from a 15-member team of specialized professionals. In Greece, almost 1 in 3 women over 65 has suffered gender-based violence, and 1 in 3 has experienced psychological violence.
“Never Too Late” Program
The grant regards The “Never Too Late” program, which will operate through two main pillars: (1) addressing the consequences of violence by providing specialized services to elderly victims; and (2) preventing the phenomenon through targeted empowerment and awareness-raising activities. The services provided include free legal advisory and psychological support to low-income elderly victims of violence in Attica. At the same time, awareness-raising activities for women over 60 years of age will be held in selected Attica municipalities. The beneficiaries will be approximately 115 senior low-income women who are victims of gender-based violence.
