Announcement of results of the 8th round of the “Points of Support” program

Listed below are the 33 projects that have been selected to receive grants under the 8th round of the “Points of Support” program for 2025-2026.

Taking part in the 8th round of the program, which began in 2015 and has funded 191 projects with more than 104,000 beneficiaries, are the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation, the TIMA Charitable Foundation, the Bodossaki Foundation, the Captain Vassilis and Carmen Constantakopoulos Foundation, the A. G. Leventis Foundation, the A. C. Laskaridis Charitable Foundation, the Costas M. Lemos Foundation, the Hellenic Initiative Canada, the Athina I. Martinou Foundation, and the Helidoni Foundation. The “points of Support” Program has been coordinated by the Bodossaki Foundation since 2022.

The aims of the program are, on the one hand, provision of support for small-scale original projects with the highest possible social impact and, on the other hand, reinforcement and capacity building for Greek civil society organizations, with priority given to those of small and medium size, as a means of bolstering the development and effectiveness of their work.

The 33 projects that have been selected* out of a total of 190 applications will each be granted an amount of ten thousand euro (€10,000), and belong in a wide range of areas, which have been defined by the participating Foundations. The projects will be implemented by 33 Civil Society organizations and their 4 partners, over a period of eight months. In addition to the funding, the Program includes participation in capacity building activities, which will be designed, funded and implemented by Social Dynamo, the NGO hub of the Bodossaki Foundation.

The full list of the organizations selected to receive grants follows below, by program area:

Ι. “Social Integration of People with Disabilities” (Donor: John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation)

1. Interdisciplinary Network of Special & Intercultural Education – Developing Collaboration Skills and supporting Professional Integration in the IT sector, for Young People on the Autism Spectrum, in collaboration with Ortem Hellas S.A.
2. Technis Oneira – Hands that speak, Souls that listen. An artistic collaboration between Deaf and hearing individuals
3. “Rodavgi” Association of Parents, Guardians and Friends of People with Intellectual Disabilities – I am a gardener! Making use of Accessible Language for the Education and Vocational Integration of People with Intellectual Disabilities.
4. Tandem NGO – Institutions are not the solution. A program for the empowerment and visibility of people living in institutions in Greece, and the promotion of deinstitutionalization.
5. Off Stream – Non Profit Company – Meeting Points: Art Studios. A project for people with and without sensory impairments, aimed at equal participation, interaction and the cultivation of a shared space of communication, through the experience of art.
6. Prosxima Contemporary Dance Company – A State Of Dance (ASOD): Encouraging inclusion in Education
7. Monokyklo NPO – The Circus for everyone. Making circus arts accessible to People with Disabilities.
8. Edu4all – The Power Within Me, a project to cultivate digital skills and personal empowerment, in collaboration with Center of Creative Play for Children with Disabilities (ΚΔΑΠ ΑμεΑ) of the Municipality of Syros – Ermoupoli

IΙ. “Support for the Elderly” (Donor: TIMA Charitable Foundation)

1. COMM’ON – Shall we play basketball? A project highlighting the contribution of basketball in the physical and mental health and social participation of elderly citizens.
2. Cultural Association on Megara “Theognis” – Digital Bridges for the Elderly.
3. Center for the Study of Crime (KEME) – NIREAS Thread for the Elderly: Realistic Information, Safety and Support. Pilot social action and prevention program for the victimization of the elderly.

III. “Children and Health” (Donor: Captain Vassilis and Carmen Constantakopoulos Foundation)

1. Eyes of Light – Arts in Health Hub – FOS/LIGHT: Photography as Support, in collaboration with Merimna.
2. “AristoTales” – Urban, Cultural and Educational NPO – AristoKids: from the Plate to Self-esteem.
3. Poreia Ygeias Social Cooperative Enterprise – Digital Liberation. A project to prevent digital addition through experiential workshops for students, seminars for teachers, and the creation of educational material for parents and teachers.

IV.  “Alleviation of Poverty and the Food Crisis” (Donor: The Hellenic Initiative Canada)

1. Estia Center for Social Solidarity and Food Support of Kalloni – Growing our Emnbrace – Supporting – Nourishing.
2. Cultural Association of Selianitika “Ilios” – KOINO-DRO 50: Social empowerment, psychosocial support and networking for the unemployed and families in crisis at the Municipal Unit of Sympoliteia and Erineos.

V.  Environmental Protection:

i.  “Protection of the Flora and Fauna in the Urban and Peri-urban Environment” (Donor: A. G. Leventis Foundation)

1. 1. ARION – Cetaceans Care Research Center – CETA RESCUE II: Support for the Cetacean Stranding Response Network through the implementation of a pilot program for the experiential training of volunteers.
   2. Action for Wildlife – Association for the Study, Care, and Reintegration of Wild Animals and the Conservation of Biodiversity – Wildlife and humans: A relationship under observation.

ii.  “Protection of Aquatic Ecosystems: Lakes, Rivers and Wetlands” (Donor: A. C. Laskaridis Charitable Foundation)

1. 1. Greek Eco Project non-profit environmental organization – Blue Argosaronic 2025. An initiative for coastal and underwater clean-up in Aegina and the neighboring uninhabited islands of the Argosaronic Gulf, aimed at removing waste and raising public awareness.
   2. Oceanides – Institute for Marine Research and Education – Posidonia Sea Gardens: Students from environmental school groups “adopt” Posidonia meadows and, under the guidance of experts, take part in recording, mapping, and monitoring their ecological condition.

iii.  Protection of Forest and Other Terrestrial Ecosystems” (Donor: Costas M. Lemos Foundation)

1. 1. Community of Trees – Ecosystem Creation and Restoration through natural cultivation and assisted tree planting.
   2. Cecropia Hub NGO – Forest Education: Young ambassadors in Schools.
   3. Terra Pindus – PINDOS: Restoration and promotion, through the historical hiking trail Delphi – Holy Monastery of Prophet Ilias – Amfissa, part of the route of the long-distance trail across Pindos, Pindus Trail Delphi–Prespes.
   4. Mali Mali Ripesi – Neropatia/Water Trails: Promotion of natural and cultural heritage through mapping and marking the trail that connects the area’s historical springs, as well as through educational awareness-raising activities on the sustainable management of the Community’s water.

VI.  “Social Innovation in Small Seaside Local Communities” (Donor: Athina I. Martinou Foundation)

1. Salvia Burn Association NGO – Shield of Life – Safe Islands: Prevention of Burns, First Aid and Health Empowerment on Small Islands.
2. Youth Line Greece NGO – Carving out Paths of Resilience in Samos.
3. Andros Research Center – Soil, Stone & Water: Our stories
4. Anafi Cultural Events – Show me your Land. Inclusive artistic research project, which mobilizes the community of Anafi, showcasing collective memory and promoting the sustainability of its cultural identity.
5. Pserimos Citizens’ Association – Paths of Pserimos, in collaboration with Oceanides Marine Research and Education.
6. Places & Traces Non Profit Civil Law Company – We stay in Limnos! A different perspective on our everyday life on the island.

VII. Sustainable Cities and Communities (Helidoni Fοundation)

1. Art Hub Athens – Sustainable Art, Living Communities: When school becomes a workshop of sustainability and art.
2. Society for the Study of Problems of Kozani – Meta-Landscape: Culture and Sustainable Development in Western Macedonia in the post-lignite era, in collaboration with the Kozani Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
3. Astylab ΑΜΚΕ – Plan A(thens): Collective Vision for a Sustainable, Resilient and Anthropocentric Capital.

*Note:  The final selection of the organizations that will receive funding will be confirmed in September 2025, upon completion of the contractualization process between the above 37 organizations and the Program’s donors, who reserve the right to replace short-listed organizations that do not meet the relevant criteria of the process in question.
